OUR STORY
Every generation inherits knowledge.
Few build what it takes to preserve it.
For centuries, humanity has developed extraordinary ways of understanding the body through observation, practice and lived experience. Yet much of this knowledge remains fragmented, difficult to access and increasingly vulnerable to being lost. Nervous System Ventures was created to ensure that the wisdom worth carrying forward is supported by the standards, education and institutions required for the generations that follow.
Founder's Story
"I didn't begin this journey searching for a business. I was simply a mother searching for another possibility."
My introduction to Pravilo was deeply personal.
My son was born with congenital scoliosis. Like many parents, I spent years searching for answers; meeting with orthopaedic specialists, physiotherapists, movement practitioners and experts from both conventional and complementary disciplines. Their advice was thoughtful and consistent. His spinal curvature was expected to progress over time. Bracing was recommended, and surgery was anticipated within the following year(s).
While every practitioner genuinely wanted the best for him, I couldn't help feeling that we had exhausted the conversation before we had exhausted the possibilities.
That search eventually led me to Pravilo.
Believing it deserved to be explored properly, my son and I temporarily relocated overseas so we could immerse ourselves in the practice and train consistently under experienced practitioners. We later built a small Pravilo studio at home, where we have continued training together while monitoring his progress through regular clinical imaging.
Over the following 18 months, we observed changes that were both meaningful and encouraging. His breathing became deeper, his posture more open, his movement more fluid, and serial X-rays showed an improvement of fourteen degrees in his spinal curvature. At a subsequent consultation, his specialist was surprised by the progression, spending considerable time asking about Pravilo and expressing interest in exploring future clinical research once our Singapore studio is established.
That experience profoundly changed my perspective.
Not because it convinced me that one practice holds all the answers, but because it reminded me how much there is still to learn about the remarkable adaptability of the human body.
It reinforced the importance of remaining intellectually curious, of questioning assumptions respectfully, and of creating space for meaningful dialogue between traditional knowledge, emerging practices and scientific investigation.
Those values became the foundation of Nervous System Ventures.
Across every venture we build, support or operate, our aim is the same: to make thoughtful, evidence-informed approaches to human health, movement and regulation more accessible; to encourage deeper collaboration between disciplines; and to help create environments where people can explore their potential with curiosity, humility and hope.
Because progress rarely begins with certainty.
It begins with people who are willing to keep asking better questions.
